What makes them feel good on the days where quick fixes just aren’t enough.Īnd it’s not just a teenage epidemic. Where they hope to be in twenty-five years. But very few can tell you what makes them feel the most fulfilled. Every teenager knows how to open up Tinder or Instagram and receive a hefty dose of validation. We know how to get everything we want in the moment. ![]() And as a result, it’s all too easy to forget about what we want long-term. We are a nation of quick fixes, easy answers and overnight solutions. We have one night stands to dull the ache of long-term loneliness and ecstasy pills for when the nights when the agony sets in. We have get-rich quick schemes and lose-weight fast programs. We have instant meals, instant money and instant messaging. Everything about the society we live in is targeted toward instant gratification.
